Aerial Site Assessments

See Your Site Before You Step onto It

UAS aerial site assessments provide a critical safety advantage on complex or hazardous sites. Before fieldwork begins, Brownfield’s FAA Part 107 certified pilots can capture high-resolution aerial imagery and video that gives your team a comprehensive view of site conditions — identifying hazards, access constraints, and areas of concern without requiring personnel to enter potentially dangerous environments.

Applications

  • Rapid evaluation of steep slopes, unstable structures, and areas with suspected contamination
  • Identification of safe access routes and physical site constraints
  • Pre-mobilization site overviews to support field planning and safety protocols
  • Documentation of site conditions before, during, and after significant events (storm damage, erosion, construction phases)
  • Support for Phase I ESA reconnaissance and baseline documentation

How It Works

Brownfield pilots plan each UAS mission based on site-specific objectives, capturing imagery and video that is immediately incorporated into project files. Assessment imagery is managed exclusively within Brownfield’s internal systems, and sharing is controlled entirely by the client. No data passes through third-party platforms outside of defined project parameters.

Efficiency and Safety
Aerial assessments can be completed rapidly with minimal site disturbance. For large or complex sites, drone-based assessments dramatically reduce the time and cost required for initial site reconnaissance while providing a higher-quality, more complete view than ground-based observation alone. These services are commonly integrated into renovation, demolition, and brownfield redevelopment projects where the presence of hazardous materials must be identified and properly managed to meet regulatory requirements and protect all parties involved.
